Stone Edge Vineyard
Sonoma Valley
Nearly five acres of our 16-acre farm in Sonoma Valley are devoted to closely spaced vineyard (4’x6’), mostly Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapevines are rooted in over 100 feet of stone-studded alluvial soil — the Los Robles series — a loamy, gravelly, and less sandy version of Bordeaux’s Left Bank.
Set against the foothills of Sonoma Mountain hard by Carriger Creek, this farm and residence is sheltered from west winds that chill nearby Carneros. Planted in 1996, our home vineyards received California Certified Organic Farm (CCOF) certification in 2002. Cabernet Sauvignon grown here typically shows ripe plum and cherry aromas and flavors.
